A Full House for a Fascinating Talk on Bomb Disposal
It was standing room only, and great to see so many new faces for Chris Ransted’s talk on bomb disposal during and after the Second World War. Guided Walk Around Ripley
The guided walk around Ripley this afternoon attracted a group of 20, 14 of them non-members (plus a well-behaved dog). One man, now living in Alton, recognised the museum as his wife had worked in it when it was still the NatWest bank! Another had been tempted to join the walk after seeing our video about it on our YouTube channel ( @sendripleyhistorysociety ). Three of our visitors, intrigued by what they had learned about the village, also bought a copy of A Walk About Rip
