Guided Walk Around Ripley

The guided walk around Ripley this afternoon attracted a group of 20, 14 of them non-members (plus a well-behaved dog).

One man, now living in Alton, recognised the museum as his wife had worked in it when it was still the NatWest bank! Another had been tempted to join the walk after seeing our video about it on our YouTube channel (@sendripleyhistorysociety).

Three of our visitors, intrigued by what they had learned about the village, also bought a copy of A Walk About Ripley Village which covers the route of the walk plus the outer parts of the village we cannot reach within the ninety minutes or so – and plenty of additional historical background.
