A Full House for a Fascinating Talk on Bomb Disposal

It was standing room only, and great to see so many new faces for Chris Ransted’s talk on bomb disposal during and after the Second World War.

Chris gave a gripping and often eye-opening account of the ingenious (and sometimes hair-raising) methods used to defuse the many types of incendiary devices dropped across Britain.

With a selection of fuse examples to hand, he demonstrated the remarkable skill and courage of the bomb disposal units who faced these deadly challenges head-on.
