Then and now - The Living history of our village

The building where Pinnock’s Coffee House is today was originally built in 1475.

In more recent history, the property belonged to Arthur Pinnock who ran the local dairy and grazed his cows on Ripley green. He passed on the property to his daughter

Edith Pinnock, who converted it into a tea shop, selling teas to local residents.

The property was sold on after Edith’s death.

Between then and now the property has had a number of different uses including a shoe shop, dress shop, accounting firm and a restaurant.

On the 12th June 2012, Russell opened the doors on Pinnock’s Coffee Shop, reclaiming the name in respect for the history of the village.
