The bi-monthly journal has been produced for members since 1975. Originally introduced as an A4 sized ‘Newsletter’ with approximately 8/14 pages. The size has been retained with occasional changes to the cover pages and layout. The title was changed to ‘Journal’ in 2000 to reflect the content, which since its creation contained a high proportion of well-researched, accurate reports and articles on local history.
Copies of old Journals can be found below.
Each month we add some journals from the archive which you can download.

Bound and indexed copies of all the previous issues for the past 30 years are available for reference in the Society’s Museum or at the Surrey History Centre at Woking. There are also a few separate back issues available for purchase at £1.50 each at the Museum or by post at £2.25 each.
Whenever possible, spare issues of a Newsletter or Journal containing articles or information will be provided upon request as mentioned above, alternatively copies of articles only, will be supplied subject to the Society’s and Author’s copyright, and upon payment of the cost of copying and postage.
An index is being prepared for consultation by members ‘on-line’. Meantime there is a limited facility to accept requests to check the index for references to names or subjects. These should be directed to the Editor.

The Editor welcomes contributions in the form of articles, photographs, book reviews, letters and news from members living abroad (who were once resident in either of the two villages), provided the topics are relevant to the villages of Send and Ripley. These may be sent by E-mail, or by post and may be in manuscript or typewritten form. Copies of photographs when available should accompany the text.

We would be pleased to add any link to publicise websites which relate to Send and Ripley village. Likewise we would appreciate having links from similar/related web sites. Please contact us for further information.
