A continuous programme of evening meetings are held monthly during the winter, addressed by experts in local history, archaeology, etc. In addition, there are outings in the summer, arranged to historic places or buildings, of interest both locally and further afield.
Forthcoming Events all at Ripley Village Hall or Village Hall annexe. All evening meetings at 8pm.

Fri. 25th January – “The Building of Guildford Cathedral”, a Circle Eight film presented by Terence Patrick. Admission £5.00. NB. To be held in the main hall.
Wed. 20th February – AGM, followed by Cheese and Wine. Members' talks.
Wed. 27th March – “The Building of Bellfields – Palaces for the Workers”. A talk by Carol Brown.
Wed. 17th April –
An illustrated talk by Pat Lock on “The Three Graces of
Clandon Park.”
Wed. 15th May - Outing to Selborne – Gilbert White’s house and garden and
Selborne Church..
Wed. 5th June - Outing to Godalming. Guided tour of St. Peter’s Church by
Alan Bott, and visit to Museum.
Wed. 12th July - Guided tour of Guildford Castle by Philip Hutchinson and
visit to Guildford Museum.
Tues. 17th Sept - “Illustrated talk on “Roman Guildford” by Rebecca Lambert of Surrey History Centre. NB. To be held in the main hall.
Tues. 15th Oct. - A talk by Judie English on “Iron Age Hill Forts in Surrey.” To be held in the main hall.
Tues. 19th Nov. - An illustrated talk on “750 years – Holy Trinity Church” by Mary Alexander. NB. To be held in the main hall.
Tues 17th Dec. - The annual Christmas Social.
All the indoor meetings will be in the Ripley Village Hall Annexe starting at 8:00pm unless otherwise stated. It would be nice to see a few more members on these social occasions.
